You can disable location services at any time through your device settings, but this will limit core app functionality.

5.1 Real-Time Location Sharing

You start an active ride
You enable location sharing in groups or events
You post location-tagged content
You search for nearby events or users
This location data is shared with:
Other users in your active ride group
Event organizers (for event attendance)
Service providers (Mapbox, AWS) for map rendering and navigation
5.2 Location Data Storage
Active ride location data is stored temporarily during active sessions
Route history may be stored for route sharing features
Location-tagged posts are stored permanently (unless deleted)
You can delete location data at any time through app settings
5.3 Location Data Retention
Active ride data: Deleted after 30 days of inactivity
Route history: Stored until you delete it
Location-tagged posts: Stored until post deletion
Event location data: Stored for event duration + 90 days
6. Chat Messages & Communications
6.1 Message Storage
Chat messages are stored on AWS servers
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest
Messages are retained until you delete them or leave the chat room
Group chat messages are accessible to all participants
6.2 Message Privacy
We do not read your private messages unless required by law
Messages may be scanned for spam, harassment, or illegal content
Messages may be reviewed in response to abuse reports
